Frank was born at Pyalong on the 18th August 1873, the second child in a family of fourteen. His parents moved around a lot.
According to information handed down, Frank trained as a carpenter, but eventually his father gave him land to farm at Baker (formerly called Warraquil). He was farming here when he married Emily Wallis in 1900.
Three children, two girls and a boy were born at Netherby.
In 1908 a Railway Line was proposed for the district of Netherby. The committee arrived and
the first witness was John Carolus Dufty, others, Thomas Hamlyn Lang, Michael Francis O'Dea and Frank Hiscock. The line however was never constructed.
The family moved to Loch about 1912. The land was richer and had a much heavier rainfall than the often drought prone Baker area. Emily also had relations farming in the area.
They rented a property and grew onions and potatoes. There were quite a few people growing onions there at the time. Frank's brother Victor helped for a while.
The flats at the bottom of the rented property were eventually taken over and used as a football ground.
Another son, Victor, was added to the family in 1918.
Frank and Emily bought a farm at Ruby and the family turned to dairying.
Eldest daughter, Emily, stayed home to look after her parents as their health failed. She married William Sampson on 1935 and he moved in and took over milking the cows.
When Emily passed away the farm was sold and Frank together with daughter Emily and son-in-law Bill moved into Leongatha.
Frank died on the 29th July 1946 .
