Thomas Evans

  • Christened: 10 Sep 1788, Llanfairarybryn, Carmarthen, Wales UK

  General Notes:

Drew Evans notes:
In your family tree, you have a Rowland Evans of Llanfairarybryn, who had a son, Thomas Evans, christened on September 10, 1788. I have speculated that this may be my GGGG grandfather (based on the circumstantial evidence of extensive family relationships with various properties in the vicinity of the Afon Bran (Crow River) area), and that this may also be the Thomas Evans who resided at Penylan, a property near the Afon Bran and within sight of the Cynghordy aqueduct (about 3 km southeast of Troedrhiwafallen) through the early and mid 1800s. The Thomas Evans at Penylan had a wife, Elinor. The records of the Church of Llanfairarybryn (at www.freereg.org <http://www.freereg.org>) (which I believe contains the records of the Parish Church and a couple of nearby chapels, Babel and Pentre-Ty-Gwyn), below show a Thomas Evans and an Elinor Jones being married on December 03, 1814. I have also speculated that David Evans of Tascon may be a relation.
