Fred married Elizabeth Causier, daughter of Henry Causier and Ann Powell. (Elizabeth Causier was born in 1876 in Whitwood Mere, near Castleford, West Yorkshire England and died in 1918.). The cause of her death was died in flu epidemic.

Fred had a relationship with Mary Ann Tutty, daughter of Joseph Tutty and Elizabeth Causier. (Mary Ann Tutty was born in 1898 in Barnsley, West Riding, South Yorkshire England and died in 1983 in Barnsley, West Riding, South Yorkshire England.)
