  General Notes:

Ann Jackman notes:
Jane Chafe Cooper's death at Bolwarra aged 44 years on 7 July 1870 may have been as a result of complications in childbirth, though her death certificate gives the cause of death as valvular disease of the heart. She was buried the following day in an unmarked grave in the Episcopal Burying Ground about ¾ of a mile from old St Peter's Church, East Maitland. This place of burial was consecrated by the Bishop of Newcastle in 1850 and remained in regular use until 1890, when he was made an Archdeacon. The clergyman who performed the ceremony was the Revd Lovick Tyrrell, BA, nephew of Bishop Tyrrell. He enjoyed an incumbency of 40 years at St Peter's, the parish being described in 1873 as including Largs, Bolwarra, Glenarvon, East Maitland, Buchanan and Mount Vincent.
