Research Notes:
Helen Sasia notes: JOSEPH born September 10th 1820 was the final son who dabbled in being a coal master with his brother Edwin but there was an accident at the mine they owned ( see above) when the chain holding the winch for the miners broke and eight men and boys perished. After this the mine was closed and both Joseph and Edwin were declared bankrupt. Joseph recovered from this financial disaster and went on to become a corn merchant like his elder brothers. He married Elizabeth Tyndall in 1847 and had 6 children Henry Tyndall; Lizzie; Lucy; Robert; Isabel and Catherine. Henry (Harry) Tyndall Nock was to rise to great wealth and by the time of his death in 1912 had amassed a fortune of over £39,000 which he left to his widow (another Eliza). Joseph himself died at the age of 85 in Caernarvonshire.
Joseph married Eliza Tyndall, daughter of George Tyndall and Mary Jackson, on 20 Jul 1847 in St Phillips, Birmingham, Warwickshire England. (Eliza Tyndall was born circa 1824 in Birmingham, Warwickshire England 1172 and was buried on 24 Jun 1872 in Frankley, Worcester England.)
