  General Notes:

From 1880, manager of "Wealwandangie" Station, Springsure in central Queensland. Appointed a Commissioner of the Peace, January 1892

Springsure is some 50 km south of Emerald, in central Queensland. It lies under the lip of an imposing cliff face of a local range of hills, and is just east of the Great Dividing Range, at these lattitudes a mere hump in the endless panorama
of scrubby gullies.

It is one of the older townships, with quite a lot of pioneering history associated with the establishment of cattle stations. These stations still exist, but cropping of cotton and grain is becoming more important now since the establishment
of a dam and irrigation scheme near Emerald.

Noted events in his life were:

• Occupation: Grazier / Station Manager.

• connection.

Thomas married Mary Ann Thompson, daughter of Henry Thompson and Anne Bardwell, on 27 Oct 1875 in St Pauls, Rockhampton, Queensland Australia. (Mary Ann Thompson was born on 25 Aug 1848 in Camden, NSW Australia and died on 17 Dec 1932 in Springsure, Central Queensland Australia.)
