Baptised as son of Richard Marchant (TRS) and Elizabeth Goffe
In his father's will of 1625, he was bequeathed ìone Crofte lying in Ditchling lately bought of one Thomas Moore comonly called and known by the name of Broadwishe contayning by estimacon foure Acres bee it more or lesseî, also Ten pounds of lawfull money of Englandî
1641 listed in Sussex Record Society Protestation Returns for Albourne and Woo d m ancote.
He was a witness 20.10.1656 at Cowfold at the marriage of his first cousin Wil l i am Marchant and Mary Peckham.
Yeoman of Albourne ~ bought Little Park from Richard Swaine (1670).
