Riverine Herald, Saturday, June 17 1916
The Echuca Presbyterian congregation will be pleased to learn that their clergyman, the Rev. B. T. Buntine, is so much appreciated by his college’s on the Bendigo Presbytery that a number of important duties have been delegated to him. Mr. Buntine has been appointed acting clerk in the Presbytery; and interim moderator of St. Andrew’s, Bendigo; St John’s, Bendigo; and Rochester and Castlemaine churches. He has also been elevated one of the Presbytery’s representatives to the quarterly committees. While he holds these positions no doubt his parishioners will excuse him from attendance at many minor functions in connection with the congregation’s affairs. As several ministers of the church have gone to the front as chaplains, and others are ill, the cumulative duties undertaken by Mr. Buntine have been practically forced upon him.

Argus (Melbourne, Vic) Saturday 1 September 1917
ECHUCA -The Rev. T. Buntine left for South Australia on an extended holiday, to recuperate after a serious illness.
