The Lancefield Mercury, Friday, November 9 1934.
The death occured on Friday last at her residence at Rochford, of Mrs Jane Cook, one of the oldest and most respected residents of the district. Her health had not been good for some time and as she had reached the advanced age of 84 years, her end was not unexpected. There was a large attendance at the funeral, which took place at the Lancefield Cemetery on Saturday afternoon.

Jane married David Mitchell Cook, son of John Cook and Marian Houston, in 1877 in Lancefield, Victoria Australia. (David Mitchell Cook was born in 1852 in Victoria Australia, died on 9 Jul 1923 in Rochford, Victoria Australia and was buried on 11 Jul 1923 in Lancefield Cemetery, Victoria Australia.)
