After marrying James Greenfield they ran a wine bar called "Cottage of Content" in Pitt Water from 1853-1854. The wine bar was owned or managed by Thomas Wilbow who also was a witness to their marriage.

"The Windsor and Richmond Gazette of 15 March 1835 stated originally there had been six hotels in Pitt Town, but only three had traded at any one time. There was the "Red House" conducted by Thomas Wilbow; the "Tin House" conducted by Mr.O'Shaunnessy; Mr.Joshus Everingham's hotel; the "Bird in Hand" operated by Mrs. Ann Wright (mother of Mr.James Greenfield); Mawsons and Buckridge's."
