Percy Woodward

  General Notes:

Was the Duke of Edingburgh's Batman during World War 2. Percy was in the queue when Prince Philip & Princess Elizabeth came to Nottingham for the bicentenary. Prince Philip spotted him & brought him to introduce to his wife. Soon after Percy was promoted to Inspector. Served on the 'Magpie'. Article appeared in the local Nottingham newspaper.
