General Notes: Born into a family of Bakers. Richard was a master baker "employing 1 man and 3 boys". The boys were Albert COLEMAN, William BULDOCK and Thomas NEAL. He had retired by the time of the 1881 census. His nephew Percy BOORMAN was staying with them at that time. 1871: 63 High Street, Tunbridge Wells, Baker & Confectioner, but retired by 1881 census, living at 22 Cambridge Street, near to daughter Kate, who had married Thomas Carr, and lived at 27 Cambridge St., Tunbridge Wells on same census. Noted events in his life were: • Occupation: Confectioner. • connection. Richard married Esther Ann Card, daughter of John Card and Sarah Gregory, on 23 Apr 1848 in Meddingham, Sussex England. (Esther Ann Card was born in 1825 in Frant, East Sussex England and died in 1887 in Tunbridge Wells, Kent England.) |
