Obituary:
Loretta Doty, age 91, beloved mother and grandmother, returned to her heavenly home on Friday, February 12, 1999.
Born January 31, 1908 in Manila, Utah to Samuel and Mary Hannah Willden Warby. Married Charles Arthur Doty October 26, 1927. He died June 20, 1950. Later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.A quiet unassuming lady with few needs, but always there, willing to share her time and talents with anyone who was in need of them. She worked for and retired from Beehive Clothing Mills. Loved going to the Senior Citizens Center where she learned to paint ceramics. Had a great love for crocheting many different things and delighted in giving them away to family and friends. Active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all her life. In her later years was actively engaged in genealogical research and had made several interesting discoveries about her ancestry. But, most of all was her love of the little children.
Greatly loved by her family and friends, she will be sorely missed by all that knew her.
Survived by daughters, Leah June (Von Stanley) Adams, Nola Jean Park Buttars; daughter-in-law, Lucille A. Brown (Von); sister, Fushia Barton; eight grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 14 great great-grandchildren (one more expected very soon). Preceded in death by husband; son, Alden C. Doty; six brothers, five sisters, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 17, 1999 at 12 noon at the 2nd Ward Chapel, 500 East l700 South, Salt Lake City, Utah. Friends may call at the Deseret Mortuary, 36 E. 700 South, Salt Lake City, Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 11-11:45 a.m. Burial, Midvale City Cemetery.
