Catherine came out to Australia in 1841 on the "Wallace" with herbrother John and sister Anne. On the same ship was her future husbandJohn Quinn.

Catherine married John Quinn, son of John Quinn and Margaret Cassidy, on 17 Nov 1845 in St Peter & St Paul, Catholic Church, Goulburn, NSW Australia. (John Quinn was born in 1810 in County Armagh, Northern Ireland UK and died on 10 Apr 1876 in Laggan, NSW Australia.)
