Peter & his wife arrived in Australia in 1855 on the "Aurora". Peter's brother John was with them as well. Peter was naturalised 7th August 1858.

Petrus married Anne Runigunde Roll, daughter of Carl Roll and Magdalena, on 8 Jan 1853 in Mittelheim Germany. (Anne Runigunde Roll was born in 1815 in Kleinhaubach Baden, Germany and died on 28 Jan 1873 in Queensland Australia.)
