William arrived on the "Fairlie" 29 April 1863. With him was his wifeMargaret and their three children, Rachel (25) William (22) andIsabelle (17).William and Margaret both stated that they were in theirlate forties to get through the immigration act. Infact they were intheir sixties.

William married Margaret Forsythe, daughter of Unknown and Jane Forsyth, circa 1825 in County Antrim, Northern Ireland UK. (Margaret Forsythe was born in 1803 in Newtown, County Derry, Northern Ireland UK and died on 26 Oct 1891 in Burrawang, Moss Vale, NSW Australia.)
