The 1881 British Census has Sarah as a 65 y.o. widowed charwoman living with John Budgen (son) a 36 y.o. unmarried domestic garden labourer at 1 Wears Cottages Newick.

  Noted events in her life were:

• Baptism, 23 Aug 1818, Isfield, Sussex England.

• Occupation: A Domestic Servant.

Sarah married John Budgen, son of James Budgen and Sarah Cox, on 31 Jan 1836 in St John The Baptist, Southover Lewes, Sussex England. (John Budgen was born in 1806 in Newick, Sussex England and died on 2 Mar 1880.)
